Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club – Sponsored Golf Tournament
We first met the team at Cahercalla Community Care & Hospital in early 2004 and, being a leading charitable institution in the region where we live, we were very keen to support their mission. Our Foundation committed to providing funds to Cahercalla via sponsoring a golf tournament at Dromoland Castle Golf Club, Newmarket-on-fergus, in October 2004, and all proceeds raised from the tournament went directly to Cahercalla CCH. Our Foundation’s sponsored golf tournament at Dromoland has been held every year since that date, enjoying a high participation from the Club’s members and their guests.

“The Anderson Charitable Foundation has been a loyal and continuing supporter of the Board of Cahercalla in our endeavours to provide high quality care to our elderly and vulnerable residents. We are very grateful for this ongoing support, and look forward to maintaining and developing our relationship with this Foundation as we continue to provide for the needs of our community.”
Dr. Michael Harty
Chairman of Cahercalla
“Dromoland Castle members, together with sponsors Jacqui and Richard Anderson and their charitable Foundation, have been supporting Cahercalla Hospice since 2004, and we are proud to continue supporting such a worthy cause in the years ahead.”

20th. Anniversary Golf Tournament
To mark the 20th. anniversary of our sponsored golf tournament at DCGC, the management proposed elevating our event to a major club competition and, so, the inaugural ‘Anderson Charitable Foundation 4-Ball Challenge Cup’ took place over three days of the Irish August Bank Holiday 2024. And, to demonstrate our Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting Cahercalla CCH, we agreed to match the total amount raised from entrance fees to our event, resulting in a significant increase in the overall donation made to Cahercalla Community Care Hospital.

2025 Anderson Charitable Foundation ‘Challenge Cup’.
Jacqui and Richard Anderson were delighted to return to their home at Dromoland Castle to present their Foundation annual ‘Challenge Cup’ to the winners. Although typical ‘Irish weather’ meant the DCGC was without electricity for the presentation we didn’t let the darkness disrupt an most enjoyable celebration – thank you to all participants, and DCGC for hosting the event and, as our Foundation has done for the past 21 years, all proceeds raised is given to Cahercalla Comminity Hospital, Ennis to assist them provide care and support for those in our community.
